Our society needs Law and order for its correspondence. Though the government regulates the Law, it needs regulatory officials to represent and advise government agencies, businesses and individuals on legal disputes and issues. The Legal professions demand an understanding of legal implications and obligations, and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice. As a law enthusiast, you must have dynamic research and evaluation skills, so that you can question, interpret or analyze and explain complex information.

Benefits of choosing a career in Law:
 The legal jobs are prestige in the social cause it provides an impressive appearance and legal power.
 The legal profession provides diverse options; law enthusiasts can choose from many options to
finalize career paths like consultants, secretaries, paralegals, mediators, judges, and lawyers.
 Legal jobs are less boring cause there are many things to keep you busy. Evidence, paper, patterns
keep pushing your brain to find the ultimate solution to your case. As a lawyer, you can get to travel
around the world to participate in depositions, trials, business deals, and arbitrations.
 Legal profession provides growth, opportunities and security of jobs cause it is rapidly changing and expanding.

1) Popular Career pathways options in Law- lawyer career paths

 Litigation: It is a traditional law career which involves practicing Law in the courts. In India
Litigation provides a wide range of employment options in both private and public sectors. It gives
an opportunity to specialize in a particular field of Law such as Taxation, Constitution, Family, etc.
 “LAW” Firms: it is well-organized business entities which is consist of several lawyers working
together on the same or different legal contracts. Here, each lawyer is distributed wok to supervise in one element related to the case or contract in hands.
 Judicial Services or Civil Services: A stable government career but requires its aspirants to clear The State Judicial Services Examination which is organized by the High Courts for their respective states.
 Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO): means delegation of core legal functions like making first drafts
of cases, compliance work, legal research, etc. to an external counsel. The assigned task has to be
completed on the basis of fixed parameters and fixed timelines.
 Academia: A law graduate can pursue intellectual interests to work full-time work on research
projects. Judicial Clerkship: it involves law clerks to work as a legal assistant holding duties which
shall differ in courts and in terms of judge. It provides an experience for students interested in either litigation or transactional work with insights into the workings of the legal system.

2) Popular career pathway options in Non- lawyer career path Corporate Counsel

It involves working with a company/corporate entity as an in-house legal counsel. The role is to advise on legal matters related to its business. An in-house counsel is required to draft, vet and negotiate contracts. It is essential for them to ensure and monitor compliance with rules and laws and handling legal disputes. Some examples of private sector involve private banks or private companies or Multinational corporations whereas public sectors involve Government Agencies, Public Sector Undertakings, Public and Nationalized banks, etc. Corporate counsel job roles characterization: Law firm administrator, chief financial officer, legal Secretary, legal receptionist, Litigation Support Professional and Paralegal
