The Indian fashion industry is not in that boom right now and if we see the reasons behind it then some facts, that are coming in front of us are-

i. High Quality of Raw Material:

Always prefer good fashion designing wear at a lower price. And to prepare that type of fashion wears the material that India’s fashion designers need is very costly. Because most of them are imported from other countries and even if it is originated in India, due to the high labor cost its cost also rises. So, the ultimate price of the product becomes high and this is a great challenge for Indian Fashion Designers.

ii. Availability of skilled workforce:

Has a lot of a workforce but the skill that is required to work with a fashion designer had only in very few people. So, fashion designers always do not find that skilled workforce which they need.

Despite of these threats, Indian fashion Industry has countless opportunities and it is going to encounter rapid growth as Indian fashion is attracting other people around the world.

Not only that, but Indian people these days are also trying new things and here the fashion designers can grab the opportunity. Only they have to do is, they have to explore the fashion around the world, see the latest trends and do market research to see what will be the best for the Indian market. And they can design their products likewise to provide the people here, a new taste of fashion.

Also a survey has shown the fact that fashion designers’ job is likely to increase by nearly 3 per cent by the year 2016 to 2026 and the actual amount is huge. Another survey was done to see what amount of people love to wear designer wears and it has shown that designer wear market is growing by 9.5 per cent every year and this can be a golden opportunity for the future fashion designers. And also, the fashion designing industry is going to encounter 10 to 12 per cent growth in the coming years.
