CBSE to reduce the mental pressure of students

Everyone knows that for its students CBSE board exams creates huge mental pressure. Now the pressure is not only during the preparation of exams but the pressure remains the same even after the exams. When students are not able to score good marks in exams again it creates mental pressure for them. Well, though it is late still CBSE is going to take steps to reduce the mental pressure related to exams of their students. For this, CBSE is going to omit words like “Failed” or “Compartmental” from its mark sheets.

This is a new policy by the Central Board of Secondary Education which is going to be finalised very soon with the hope of protecting the mental health of their students.

It is true that looking at the harsh words in their mark sheets, students get pressurized mentally and they also develop stress and during that time of crisis, many students take a dangerous step like suicide.

Besides this, many students also develop a fear in them for any exam and this can leave a very bad effect in building their career. Also, it has been found that many students start suffering from mental depression to see that harsh words in their mark sheets and the fear of exams.

And those are the reasons why CBSE is going to omit the harsh words like “Failed” or “Compartmental” from its mark sheets.

According to report, Central Board of Secondary Education is going to replace the words “failed” or “Compartmental” with some alternative words to reduce the mental pressure of the students and for this, the board has asked its school principals and its regional offices to suggest some alternative words that can be used as an alternative instead of the two negative words.

If we look at the present scenario, the students who fail in more than two subjects are getting to see the word, “Failed” in their subject and in that case the student/students need to re-appear in the exams for all subjects. On the other hand, the students who fail in two subjects or less than that are getting to see the word, “Compartmental” in their subject and in that case the student/students need to appear the exam for only the subject/subjects in which he/she got failed. Here, the Central Board of Secondary Education is going to omit these two words from their mark sheets.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has also suggested some new words that can be used as
alternatives of the previous words. The words like “Special” exam, “Second” exam or “Supplementary” exam are the suggestions of CBSE that can be used in the place of the word “Compartmental”. On the other hand, words like “Unqualified” or “Not Qualified” are the suggestions of CBSE that can be used in the place of the word “Failed”.

Though it is still not been finalised once it gets final also the CBSE schools have to use the replacement of the negative words in their mark sheets.

This is great for the students as their mark sheets will no longer demotivate them to any exam.
